Popular Audience

The popular audience’s in my genre analysis are the general public with emphasis on parents and health care professionals such as physicians and the federal government. The general public wants clear answers on whether or not the vaccine is safe for their children. Furthermore, they want the evidence to back it. They realize the importance of the vaccine but are not willing to jeopardize their child’s well being for it. The professionals on the other hand are trying to find ways to persuade and convince the general public that the vaccine is safe and the only way to prevent the spread of the measles is by receiving the MMR vaccination.

  1. I really liked your website. I would like to know a little bit more about if the vaccine is truly safe or not. I think that a lot of parents are concerned about giving their children vaccines and they would want to know more information about that.

  2. Jessika,

I really like the way you have your website set up with the clear divisions/questions. Also, I like how you incorporated pictures because it is visually appealing. And lastly, your resources are very credible which is also a plus. The only thing I would want to see more of is the misconceptions of the vaccine, but you did hit the main one. Great job.

  3. I liked your webpage and what you had to say and how you had it broken up with links at each section. I might say you need to add just a little more info that what you have currently.

    Nice job.

  4. I really like the way your web page is set up. The pictures are good and it was great the way you were able to give a website for each section you discussed. The only thing I still am curious about is how much will it cost? Can you give your popular audience a guess? Some vaccines can be outrageous in price, it would be nice to know if it was under $20. Other than that small bit, great website.

  5. Very easy to navigate and read. I love the solid color wallpaper and nice sized graphics and headings. I would love to have more information regarding the cons to vaccinating, as my 3rd child hasn't had this particular one yet and he is nearly 2. More reasons that autism exists for delaying or refusal. I also think a few more photos showing lighter stages of measles could help us see what it looks like when not that bad. Great job!

  6. I thought you provided some good information about the virus and vaccine. I would like to know more of a history on measles such as when the vaccine was discovered and if researchers/ doctors are concerned that the virus will one day become immune to the vaccine.
